Employment Law Attorney and Consultant
Cassandra has practiced employment law and provided human resources consulting services and advice for employers for over fifteen years. Following graduation from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law, she worked at the Puerto Rico Department of Justice, where she represented the government in cases involving administrative law, taxation, torts, civil rights, contracts and labor, and employment law.
Before founding Voltaggio, LLC, Cassandra worked for thirteen years at a prominent law firm, where she advised and represented employers of all sizes and across industries like banking, communications, distribution, manufacturing, among others. She provided counsel in various areas of the employer-employee relationships, including daily preventive counseling on workplace issues, wage and hour practices, documenting employee discipline, misconduct and performance issues, reductions in force, medical, and other leaves of absence. She also counseled clients in the implementation of federal and local laws and regulations governing the workplace, assisting them with structuring and implementing effective workplace policies and procedures, and provided litigation defense, including employment discrimination suits, sexual harassment litigation, wage, and hour litigation, wrongful discharge and termination cases, employee contracts and benefits dispute.

Cassandra continues to advise employers on all aspects of workplace law and regulations and appears on their behalf in court cases. She also provides training on best practices, guidelines and protocols required by law, supervisory skills, employer’s handbooks, and other customized training for successful and efficient workplaces.
